KRCB transmitter burned in Kincade Fire

Have you been wondering why you haven’t been able to tune into KRCB 91.1 public radio recently?
Here’s the reason: the main transmitter, auxiliary transmitter, associated electronics and transmitter building completely burned in the Kincade Fire. The transmission site is a complete loss, with the exception of the antenna and antenna support, which were replaced in March of this year. 
At the present time, KRCB FM 91.1 is operating from an emergency transmitter and antenna at a different location until an available temporary location nearer the original transmission site for the transmitter and antenna can be located pending complete reconstruction of the transmission facilities. 
While we are working to get new transmission facilities up and running, we are also looking at different ways in which we can improve coverage for KRCB FM Radio 91.
 
You can still listen to Radio 91 at 91.1 south of Santa Rosa into Rohnert Park can Cotati; our second signal at 90.9 is still covering much of Santa Rosa and into Sebastopol. Radio 91 is also available via the online stream at norcalpublicmedia.org/live.html, as well as on the free Northern California Public Media app available for all smart devices.
