Gina Riner with legion and Korean consul general

Healdsburg woman accepts medal on behalf of father
Healdsburg resident Gina Riner was in Santa Rosa last week, to accept a Korean Peace Ambassador medal that the Republic of Korea bestowed on her deceased father, Clinton R. Riner, a veteran of the Korean War.
Congressmen Mike Thompson and Jared Huffman were on hand, along with Jimin Kim, the deputy consul general of the Republic of Korea, based in San Francisco.
According to Riner, “Even though that war ended 67 years ago, many Korean War vets showed up. It was a very moving ceremony.”
American Legion Sotoyome Post # 111 (based in Healdsburg) was the honor guard for the ceremony.
