Karl A. Hess passed away Saturday, September 30, 2006 at home in
Forestville after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 82.
Born in St. Louis, MO, Karl shared his memorable life with his
loving wife Cydney Hess for 60 years. Karl was a teamster in San
Francisco for 40 years. He enjoyed his 20 years of retirement while
golfing with his family and friends. The &#8220wacky” stories
he told of his long time buddies in his foursome at Windsor golf
course will continue to provide laughs and great memories in the
future.
He was a long time member of SIRS 176 and was one of the 1st
Marshalls at Windsor golf course, his home away from home. Working
in his beautiful garden at his home by the Russian River was a
passion and a favorite pastime. The lovable powers of his buddy
Lola brought him great peace and joy. He had a wonderful, gentle,
loving manner with the unmistakable ability to exude kindness and
compassion to every person who crossed his path. He brought a smile
to everyone’s face, &#8220Everybody loved Karl”. He will leave
a void in all the lives he touched and will be painfully missed.
His death was preceded by his daughter Judy Wedge and son Joe
Hess. He is survived by his wife Cydney Hess, daughters, Nancy
Quinlan and Linda Hennan; granddaughters, Amy (Eric) Barone, Chasen
Hennan, & Chelsea Hennan; great-granddaughter, Sabrina Barone;
