Johanna Tracy-Rafanelli was born on June 28, 1918 in South
Range, Minn. and passed away on March 5, aged 88 at the Oak Tree
Lodge in Windsor. She moved with her family to Healdsburg, where
she helped at the family restaurant, “Windsor Castle.” She
is a graduate of Healdsburg High School. In 1936 she married
Richard Tracy and moved to Oakland. After 31 years of marriage Dick
passed away. Johanna worked and retired from the Alameda County
Clerks Office. She married Americo Rafanelli and helped at his
winery until he passed away. Johanna was a member of the Dry Creek
Neighbors and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, and worked at Helping
Hands. Johanna is survived by her son Richard J. Tracy and his wife
Kate of Kelseyville; granddaughter Pauline Tracy of Concord;
grandsons Richard Tracy and his wife Dana of Lebanon, Ore.; Bradley
Tracy and his wife Jacquie of Alpharetta, Ga.; and her four great
granddaughters Rachele, Briana, Lauren and Julia Tracy, sister in
law “Blondie” Tapparo; two nieces, four nephews and two
cousins. Johanna was preceded in death by her husbands Richard D.
Tracy and Americo Rafanelli, granddaughter Michele V. Tracy and
brother John Tapparo. Friends were invited to pay their respects
Friday, March 9 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Fred Young Funeral Home, 428
No. Cloverdale Blvd, Cloverdale. Funeral Services were Saturday,
March 10 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Healdsburg. Memorial
donation to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church or Vitas Innovative Hospice
Care would be appreciated.
