Joanne Stone

Joanne Hurd Stone, 73, of Sebastopol, died on June 15. She was
the wife of the late Ivan E. Stone, mother of John Stone, Winnie
Flugger and the late Ivan P. Stone and grandmother of Jacqueline
Flugger. Joanne is also survived by her brother, Gerald P. Hurd and
his wife, Helen. Joanne was born in Petaluma to J. Paul and Evelyn
Hurd and reared in Mill Valley. Her love for children drew her to
teach Elementary School as well as Special Education in Marin
County schools for 25 years. Joanne also enjoyed painting and
animals, but the joy of her life was her family. Memorial
