Joanie Wendell – Loving mother and wife

Joanie Wendell, 61, passed away in Santa Rosa on July 4, 2004.
She is lovingly survived by her husband Sheldon Wendell of Santa
Rosa; mother Ruth Lueger of Santa Rosa; daughters Sheli Bowman of
Hong Kong and Gina Brown of Las Vegas, Nevada; brother Danny Winton
of Redding; stepdaughters Laurie Brock of Healdsburg and Pam
Wendell of Novato; also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces
and nephews. Joanie was born in Santa Rosa and was a lifelong
resident of Sonoma County. She was a graduate of Montgomery High
School, class of 1961. She was proud of her career as a loving
mother and wife. Memorial services were held on Saturday, July 10,
2004 at the First Presbyterian Church in Santa Rosa. In lieu of
flowers, contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast
