Joan Fritzinger

Doris E. “Joan” Fritzinger, 87, died on May 29 at the Apple
Valley Convalescent Hospital in Sebastopol. Born in Iowa and raised
and educated in Illinois, she moved to Sonoma County in 1999. She
enjoyed the outdoors — trees, flowers and walking. She is survived
by her children, R. Dennis Fritzinger of Berkeley and Zanzara
Dancer and her husband, Seann Zales of Guerneville, her
grandchildren Oriol Zales of Santa Rosa, Harmony Zales of New
Zealand and Star Zales of San Mateo, her siblings Charlotte and her
husband, Rollin Rice of Arizona, Ernie Spahn of Illinois and Melva
Spahn. Donations in her memory can be made to the National Arbor
Society.
