Javier “Chico” Alvarez, 48, of Guerneville, died suddenly on Dec. 25.

He was born in Mexico and moved to Guerneville in 1964. He loved
camping, children and those Guerneville tennis courts! He was
preceded in death by his loving mother, Josefina. He is survived by
Cynthia De Alvarez, his life partner and his children Shelly
(Kevin) Alvarez, Curtis and Krista Prescott and Javier Prescott,
his father Pedro Alvarez. Brother of Josefina (Javier) Oseguera and
Lupe (Salvador) Figueroa and Arbel (Maria) Alvarez and Pedro (Lupe)
Alvarez and Rafael (Teresa) Alvarez and Jose Alvarez and Gloria
(Miguel) De Garcia and many nieces and nephews.
