Long-time Healdsburg resident James Lewis Sutton, a custodian
and member of several local clubs, died May 26. He was 66.
Sutton was a Christian who devoted a lot of time to helping
others. He had a strong relationship with his family, which
included a brother, two sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He
was active in Becoming Independent, the Senior Bowling League and
Healdsburg Grange. Sutton was born in Oklahoma September 3, 1941.
He lived in Healdsburg for 62 years. He is survived by brother
Jerry Sutton of Healdsburg, sisters Netah Whitehall and Nadine
Barilani of Arizona, and his nephews and nieces.
A memorial service was held June 6 at 2 p.m., at the Oakmound
Cemetery in Healdsburg. The family requests that memorial donations
be sent to Parkside Christian Chapel in Cloverdale.
