I certainly hope that your area doesn’t have the fires that hit southern California.
The fire in the Palisades was horrible. No water there and the standard way of building which was often allowed years ago was 5 or 10 feet from the house to the lot line. If there is to be an area to fight fire, there should be at least 15 feet from the house to the lot line. What is happening now is the density bonus law that allows developers to get waivers and concessions of vital setbacks. Dwellings being built today will be those in the fire zone in the future. Please eliminate the density bonus law.
