Attorney Daniel Sheehan will speak in Sebastopol on Thursday,
Oct. 21 His talk will focus on the coming election and how paradigm
politics continues to shape the world. Sheehan, a Harvard-trained
foreign policy expert, Constitutional legal scholar and expert in
American government and politics, poses the question of how we
allowed such a situation to come to pass. The event will be held at
the Sebastopol Methodist Church in Epworthian Hall, 500 N. Main
St., in Sebastopol (across from the Safeway). Tickets will be
available at the door for $15. To reserve a ticket, call the Praxis
Peace Institute at 939-2973. The event will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Doors open at 7 p.m. Seating is limited.
Interpreting Pomo History &
Culture
The California Indian Museum and Cultural Center will present a
lecture on Pomo tribal cultures and history on Saturday, Oct. 16
from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the museum located at 5250 Aero Dr. in
Santa Rosa. The lecture and intperpretation will be present by
Verle Anderson, a Pomo woman who is an enrolled member of the
Sherwood Valley Rancheria near Willits. and has an extensive
collection of photographs of various Pomo communities.
