Hotel Healdsburg debuts ‘Winter Music Series’ Saturday

Hotel Healdsburg has announced the launch of its Winter Music Series, which debuts on Nov. 7 and takes place every Saturday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. through February.
Held in the hotel’s lobby, performances will include a wide-ranging mix of jazz standards, Cuban, gypsy and blues and will feature local standout artists including Beatle Jazz with the Christian Foley-Beining Group, Jazz Standards with Bennett Friedman, and Brazilian Jazz with As Tres Meninas.
In addition to the lineup of local talent, guests can indulge in libations and small bites from Spirit Bar, which is located in the lobby of Hotel Healdsburg, and features local fare from Charlie Palmer’s Dry Creek Kitchen. The bar offers shaken or stirred craft cocktails, single barrel scotches and whiskeys and more than 20 wines by the glass.
Visitors are invited to relax by the fire and listen to the sounds of the featured performers throughout the winter season with no ticket purchase required.

November 7 – Music of Cedar Walton with the Myron Cohen Trio and jazz and blues vocalist Diane Witherspoon. (Features: vocal, piano, bass and drums)
November 14 – Gypsy Jazz from the Gypsy Trio with Ian Scherer, Joel Kurzic and Michael Price. (Features: two guitars and bass)
November 21 – Afro Caribbean Jazz from the Carlitos Medrano Trio with Antonio Cortada and Julio Cesar. (Features: piano, bass and percussion)
November 28 – Jazz Standards with Bennett Friedman, Randy Vincent and Cliff Hugo.  (Features: saxophone, guitar and acoustic bass)
December 5 – Classic jazz from the 60’s and 70’s from Kevin Fitzsimmons Quartet with Francis Vanek, Chris Amberger and Aaron Garner. (Features: saxophone, piano, acoustic bass and drums)  
December 12 – Music of Cole Porter with the Miles Wick Trio or Quartet. (Features: piano, bass and guitar)
December 19 – Beatle Jazz with the Christian Foley-Beining Group, Tom Haysahi and Todd Smith. (Features: guitar, drums, vocals and bass)
December 26 – Jazz vocals with Sherri Roberts, David Udolf and Chris Amberger. (Features: vocals, piano and acoustic bass)
January 2 – Gypsy Jazz from the Gypsy Trio with Ian Scherer Joel Kurzic and Michael Price. (Features: two guitars and bass)
January 9 – Brazilian Jazz with As Tres Meninas – Fabiana Passoni, Stephanie Ozer and Ami Mollenili. (Features: vocals, piano and percussion)
January 16 – Afro Caribbean Jazz with the Carlitos Medrano Trio – Antonio Cortada and Julio Cesar. (Features: piano, bass and percussion)
January 23 – Music of the Modern Jazz Quartet from the Smith Dobson V Quartet with John Wiitala, Hamir Atwal and Richard Sears. (Features: vibes, piano, acoustic bass and drums)
January 30 – Jazz standards with Bennett Friedman and Friends. (Features: saxophone, guitar and bass)
The lineup for February is forthcoming and will be announced at a later date.
