Hildred Ketcham passed away in Santa Rosa on January 5, 2003 at
the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of
61 years, Gerald Ketcham in January of 2001. The Ketchams settled
in Alexander Valley in 1947, and together they devoted their time
to their prune ranch and to raising their three daughters. Those
were hard working but precious family days for all of us. Mom took
pride in her beautiful yard and the home that they had built
together, and she faithfully tended to them until the end. She will
always be remembered for her cheerful personality and the love for
her family. She was an active member of the Alexander Valley Ladies
Aid, and enjoyed the friendship of her many friends and neighbors
there. Hildred is survived by her daughters, Jeanette Merriman and
Bill of Kelseyville, Joanne Fistolera and Sue of Forestville and
Judy Wallace and John of Rio Vista. She is also survived by her
grandchildren, Lisa Newell, Sara Mozzini, Donna Manning, Dan
Lafranchi, Julie Botelho, Robin Soldati, Bob Fistolera, Jr., Gina
Fistolera, Brian Wallace and Janel Wallace-Pitts, as well as 14
great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sisters Bessie
Wilds of Kelseyville and Edna McConnell of Willits, along with her
cousin Russell Woodward of Lakeport and many nieces and nephews. We
will all lovingly remember her. Family services have been held in
Kelseyville. If desired, donations may be made in her memory to the
Alexander Valley Ladies Aid, P.O. Box 44, Healdsburg, CA. 95448 or
to a favorite charity of your choice.
