The Healdsburg Tribune has redesigned its Web site and added
several features that will facilitate greater interaction with
online readers.
The Tribune’s Web address is www.hbgtrib.com.
In addition to comprehensive local news coverage, the new Web
sites will provide readers with more opportunities to talk to
newspaper staff, increase the ease of submitting information and
add community resources.
The Tribune is part of SonomaWest Publishers, a company that
includes The Healdsburg Tribune, The Windsor Times, Sonoma West
Times & News, Discoveries Magazine and the Sonoma Discoveries
Guest Directory. The Web site redesign is part of a companywide
upgrade to Internet offerings and Publisher Rollie Atkinson said
the changes will improve the overall reader experience.
“With the new features, readers will be able to communicate with
us through online comments, a guest book and direct submittal of
news. This is another extension of our commitment to the community
and our desire to have our readers involved with the papers,” he
said.
Visitors to the redesigned site will find a set of forms that
allow readers to submit letters to the editor, engagement
information, wedding announcements, births, anniversaries,
classified ads and news tips.
Readers can also submit events for an expanded community
calendar, share photos and comment on published stories.
“The new calendar lets readers post their information straight
to our site and will provide a great resource for readers to find
new events in their town,” said Atkinson.
Each newspaper will also maintain a list of local links. Local
community organizations can submit their information to [email protected] and
readers will be able to find contact information for any
organization in one spot.
At www.sonomadiscoveries.com,
readers will find a new Web site providing recreation information
for Sonoma County that includes information on dining, lodging,
wineries, recreation, art, shopping, spas and weddings. The site
also contains a wine section, event calendar and the current issue
of Discoveries magazine.
