Healdsburg resident Mary Fitzgerald took the lovely pic above of springtime treetops over the plaza late last Sunday afternoon, from her clutch vantage point at The Matheson’s rooftop bar.

Earlier that same day, down below the treetops, Healdsburg resident and former City Council candidate Linda Cade spotted a “Burn Your Tesla” protest slogan scrawled in pastel chalk between children’s drawings near the plaza fountain:

And later in the week, once the rain had returned, a dedicated group of Healdsburg activists including Brigette Mansell and Gail Jonas upheld the longstanding local tradition of protesting near the plaza bus stop on Thursday evenings. Brigette says the two photos below were taken by a man named Jose, who was “waiting for a bus home to Cloverdale after working a ten hour shift at Healdsburg’s Safeway.” She adds: “Photos taken in the year 2025, at the start of a Revolution to Save United States Democracy!”
