Good morning Healdsburg, March 7
The Healdsburg Chamber of Commerce will host a discussion session with the city and local businesses on Thursday, March 7 from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Healdsburg Community Center. Attendees will get to learn about city happenings and ask questions. All are welcome. The community center is located at 1557 Healdsburg Ave.
Noche de Fiesta, March 8
Healdsburg Elementary School, along with Healdsburg Charter and Fitch Mountain campus PTO, presents a parents’ night out fundraiser event, “Noche de Fiesta,” on Friday, March 8, from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Villa Chanticleer. The event will feature a live auction, raffle, games, live music and dancing. State Sen. Mike McGuire and Sonoma County School Board member Herman Hernandez will host the bilingual event. A Tuba to Cuba screening, March 9
The Raven Film Center will host a screening of the documentary “A Tuba to Cuba” on Saturday, March 9 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The film celebrates the triumph of the human spirit expressed through the universal language of music. The Coolers live at Coyote Sonoma, March 9
We are the Coolers will perform live at Coyote Sonoma in the taproom at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 9. This Cloverdale-based band will play famous songs from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s. Night sky astronomy event, March 11
This free, public astronomy event will have participants gazing at the stars in the night sky on Monday, March 11 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Healdsburg Library. Attendees will get a demonstration on how to use a basic telescope and will be led in a viewing of the moon, Mars and the Orion Nebula star factory. The library is located at 139 Piper St.
Walking club at the Senior Center, March 12
Join the Healdsburg Senior Center for a stroll around town with the walking club on Tuesday, March 12. The walk runs from 8:45 to 9:15 a.m. and is free. Meet at the senior center at 133 Matheson St.
Parks and recreation meeting, March 13
The Healdsburg Parks and Recreation Committee will meet for its regular meeting on Wednesday, March 13 at 6 p.m. at city hall on 401 Grove St. All are welcome to attend.
Junior internship presentation night, March 13
Healdsburg High School juniors will give a presentation on their internship experience to a panel of judges on Wednesday, March 13 at 5 p.m. at HHS. All are welcome to attend to learn about the student’s work and experience. HHS is located at 1024 Prince Ave.
Homework help at the library, March 14
Get help on a certain subject or on a set of problems at this free, drop-in homework help session on Thursday, March 14 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. All grade-levels and subjects are welcome. The library is located at 139 Piper St.
Indivisible Healdsburg, March 14
The group’s Mingle to Make a Difference this month will feature a discussion of the Green New Deal and a get-out-the-vote action for an April Supreme Court election in Wisconsin. Meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Church Hall, 209 W. Matheson St.
