The group’s Mingle to Make a Difference this month will feature a discussion of the Green New Deal and a get-out-the-vote action for an April Supreme Court election in Wisconsin. The event takes place Thursday, March 14 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Church Hall at 209 W. Matheson St. All are welcome to attend.
Healdsburg Avenue focus group session, March 15
The city will hold a series of focus group workshops on Friday, March 15 at 9 a.m. and until 5:30 p.m. The aim of the meetings is to gather input on streetscape improvements for Healdsburg Avenue. Potential improvements include bike paths and street-crossing safety features for Healdsburg Avenue to Powell to the city’s northern limits. All are welcome to attend to share their thoughts. The meeting takes place at the community center at 1557 Healdsburg Ave.
A celebration of women’s history, March 16
Breathless Wines in Healdsburg is hosting a women’s history month celebration on Saturday, March 16 from 1 to 4 p.m. The event will feature local authors of women’s historical fiction. Eileen Ivers with JigJam, March 16
Grammy award winner and Emmy nominated violinist Eileen Ivers will perform at The Raven Performing Arts Theatre on Saturday, March 16 at 8 p.m. JigJam will perform with Ivers as well. The quartet from Ireland blends traditional Irish music with Bluegrass and Americana sounds. Tickets are $60 for front and center seats and $40 for general admission. Hearing for appeal of the Matheson project, March 18
The Healdsburg City Council will hold a hearing on Monday, March 18 to hear an appeal of the Matheson Project, which was passed by the planning commission in a 4-1 vote last month. All are welcome to attend. The hearing will take place at the regular city council meeting at 6 p.m. at city hall, 401 Grove St.
Friends of the Library Healdsburg Library used book sale, March 20, 21 and 23
The March book sale sponsored by the Friends of the Healdsburg Library starts on Wednesday, March 20 from 1 to 6 p.m. Members Days are 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, March 21 and 22, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Those who want to join the membership can join at the door for $5/year.
