A taste of East Coast Wines, Jan. 24
The Healdsburg Regional Library is hosting a presentation and tasting sure to delight wine lovers. The event, A taste of East Coast wines, will be held Thursday, Jan. 24 from 7 to 9 p.m. and will feature a discussion by the Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association. The talk will be followed by a tasting of 24 wines and a selection of artisanal cheeses. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at brownpapertickets.com/event/4006608. Xtreme Quilters: Art show, Jan. 25
Moshin Vineyards in Healdsburg is hosting an Xtreme Quilters art show on Friday, Jan. 25 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The show features a color and wine theme focusing on primary and secondary colors. Local artists will have their work on display in the main tasting room at 10295 Westside Rd., in Healdsburg. All are welcome to attend the free event.
Rose pruning and propagation class, Jan. 26
There will be a rose pruning and propagation class at the Russian River Rose Company on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The class will feature hands-on demonstrations of how to properly prune roses and sharpen shears. Warm refreshments and muffins will be provided, but be sure to wear good shoes, warm clothes and bring a sack lunch. Class participants will also receive a 10 percent discount on nursery plants. 13th annual bucket brigade blood drive challenge, Jan. 26
Help the Healdsburg Fire Department and give blood during their 13th annual bucket brigade blood challenge on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Be sure to drink plenty of water beforehand and bring a photo ID. Writing club for kids, Jan. 28
Join the Healdsburg Library on Monday, Jan. 28 from 4 to 5 p.m. for a kids writing club for children ages 9 and up. The club will be lead by local published author, Jennifer Lynn Alvarez, and will help kids polish their creative writing skills. The event is free. Meet at the library at 139 Piper St.
Intro to Italian, Jan. 29
The Healdsburg Senior Center hosts an introduction to Italian course every Tuesday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. This next class takes place Jan. 29 at the center at 133 Matheson St. All levels are welcome to attend this free class.

This period play set in 1937 follows the adventures of a “nimble-witted” play producer living on credits. The play is showing at The Raven. The Healdsburg Library hosts a free, drop-in homework help session Jan. 31 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Students can focus on a certain subject or tackle a set of problems. All grades and subjects are welcome.
