Windsor High School's lacrosse coaches want to draw more girls to the sport for the next school year and are offering a summer camp.

The historic season continues this week for the Lady Jaguars lacrosse team following a first-ever appearance in the North Bay League Tournament.
On Sunday, Windsor (9-4) took the next step in its watershed season, landing the 11th seed in the 12-team North Coast Section Division 2 playoff tournament. The At press time the Jags were preparing to open up on Wednesday, May 10 against number six seeded Lick Wilmerding at City College of San Francisco (5 p.m.).
“Every opportunity to play postseason is merely more icing on an already beautifully decorated cake,” WHS coach Kristin Piotter said, referring to the remarkable success of her young squad. “The youth movement is afoot and we are very proud of all our Jaguar laxers.”
Should the Jags pull an upset, they will advance to play at third seeded San Marin in the next round (date and time TBA). The complete list of NCS teams in seeding order is Campolindo, Justin Siena, San Marin, Cardinal Newman, Branson, Lick Wilmerding, Bishop O’Dowd, Christian Brothers, Sonoma Academy, Alhambra, Windsor and Livermore.
Jags in NBL playoffs
The second seeded Lady Jaguars played host to three other participating teams in last week’s NBL Tournament, opening up on May 3 against number three seeded Sonoma Academy. Windsor controlled the pace and tempo most of the way, easily defeating the Coyotes, 7-2. Scorers for the Jags included Elka Piotter (2), Cassie Mann, Linette Ramos, Ashlee Crowley, Nicole Mattos and Ellie Kohtz (assist).
Windsor squared off with league champion Cardinal Newman in Friday’s tourney title game, with the Cardinals demonstrating their strength and depth in an 11-5 win. Piotter turned in another outstanding effort with four goals, while Ashley McBride also tallied one goal for the Jaguars.
All league honors  
The Lady Jags were well represented at the annual All-League meeting of coaches last week, with sophomore Paige Diekmann, freshman Ashley McBride and freshmen midfielders Elka Piotter and Ellie Kohtz garnering First Team accolades. Earning Second Team All-League honors were freshman midfielder Nicole Mattos.
