Community Action Partnership of Sonoma County Head Start, a
federally funded preschool program for 3 and 4 year old children,
is now accepting applications for the 2005-06 school year. Head
Start is a culturally diverse program which offers a comprehensive
educational experience with an emphasis on child and family
development. The five-day-per-week program is provided free to
children whose family income meets federal poverty guidelines. Call
544-6911 before June 15 to complete an application.

Volunteers needed in
Guerneville

Volunteer drivers are needed in the Guerneville areas to deliver
Meals on Wheels to frail seniors who are homebound. Volunteers must
be in good physical condition and able to lift 25 pounds. They must
also have a valid California driver’s license and proof of auto
insurance. A commitment of at least one day a week is required. For
more information, contact Council on Aging volunteer coordinator
Michelle Leonard, at 525-0143.
