Geraldine Mary Borri – Loving family woman

Geraldine Mary Borri passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2007 in
Healdsburg at the age of 87. She was born in Santa Rosa, Ca. to
Melvin and Belle (Hulbert) Bonham. Geri’s family has a long history
of residence in Sonoma County. The Hulberts founded one of the
first sawmills in Cazadero and her father helped to clean up Santa
Rosa after the 1906 earthquake.
She was the beloved wife of Joe Borri for 67 years, he could
always count on Geri’s support and assistance with the family
business, Borri Nursery, founded by her father-in-law in the early
30’s. Geri enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She was an avid
gardener and loved to dance. Geri was a devoted grandmother and
loved taking her grandchildren on summer trips. She has an
infectious laugh and beautiful smile that will be greatly
missed.
In addition to Joe she is survived by: son Lynn and his wife
Patricia and their children Pam and Chad, son Steve and wife Linda
and their children Stephanie and Sam, and Brad’s wife JoAnn and
their children Jenna, Jessica, and Elizabeth, 6 great grandchildren
and numerous nieces and nephews. Geri joins her son Brad, who
passed away in 2004, and siblings Genevieve Proschold and Glen
Bonham.
Private interment was at Oak Mound Cemetery, in Healdsburg. In
lieu of flowers donations may be made in Geri’s name to Memorial
Hospice or your favorite charity.
