George P. Wetch, 84, of Sebastopol, died on Dec. 17. Born in
North Dakota, he moved to Sebastopol in his childhood. Wetch, Analy
’36, enjoyed baseball and fishing. He served in the U.S. Army as a
staff sergeant during World War II and saw action on the European
front. He is survived by his wife, Frances Gonnella Wetch, children
Mark P. and his wife, Karen Wetch of Santa Rosa, Barry G. and his
wife, Kani Wetch of Baha, his grandchildren Michelle P. and her
husband, Bill Ashworth of Novato, Melissa Wetch of Arizona and
Stephen Wetch of Nevada and numerous brothers, in-laws, nephews and
nieces.
