George Lloyd Littleton, 85, of Sebastopol, died unexpectedly in
San Francisco on Jan. 2. Born in Boston, he grew up in Chicago
where he became a popular sign painter and graphics artist and a
watercolor artist. Lloyd worked mostly in Detroit where for several
years he operated his own business, the Littleton Sign Company. In
the 1960s, he migrated to southern California. In August of 2001,
he relocated to Sebastopol. He survived three wives: Beatrice, Mary
and Ingaborg. Lloyd is survived by five children from his first
marriage: Terrence, Dorene, Michael, Donald and Katia, and many
loving stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A
celebration of his life will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Jan.
18 at Burbank Heights in building R.
