The April 19 meeting of the Healdsburg Unified School District Board of Trustees promises to be a lively one, as discussion of eliminating staff and positions becomes public.
Human resources manager Francesca Whitcomb will present a plan to reduce or eliminate some certificated and classified positions. Whitcomb will also present updated job descriptions for district staff (accounts payable/purchasing technician and Payroll/insurance technician).
There will also be a resolution declaring the California “Day of the Teacher.”
The final pieces for authorizing the bond sale will be put into place, including the citizen’s oversight committee. The 2017/2018 transportation feed schedule will be reviewed along with the Local Control Accountability Plan for 2017-12018.
There will be a report on the seven-period day at Healdsburg Junior High and a presentation on the new California School Dashboard, an information tool for schools, parents and other stakeholders.
Finally, plans for the board’s participation in the 2017 Healdsburg Future Farmers Country Fair Twilight Parade will brought forward.
The meeting of the HUSD Board of Trustees will be Wednesday, April 19, at 6 p.m. at Healdsburg City Hall, 401 Grove Street, Healdsburg.
