Freddie R. Barilani, age 77, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2017 from heart disease in his home in Cloverdale, CA.
He was born June 7, 1940 in Geyserville and attended Geyserville High School. His parents were Frank and Ellen Barilani (Mars) of Geyserville. He worked at Rounds Lumber along side his father, Idaco and Boise Cascade as a truck driver for more than 30 years.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Healdsburg and an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing and was one of the founding members of the Devils Den Hunting Club on Abril Ranch at the Geysers and member for over 40 years. He enjoyed gardening, watching sports, reading the paper and was enjoying his retirement years peacefully.
He is survived by his daughter Angela Moriana of Oak Park, 2 grandchildren Max Moriana of Agoura Hills and Spencer Moriana of Dillon, Colorado. Sisters Ruthie Butterfield (Barilani) of Geyserville and Marie Davis (Barilani) of Fairfield. Leona Barilani (Hollingsworth) ex-spouse of Lakeport and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He has reunited with his son, Richard F. Barilani.
Funeral services will be held January 8, 2018 at, Fred Young Funeral Home in Cloverdale at 11:00am, with interment at Olive Hill Cemetery and celebration services to be held at Geyserville Oriental Community Hall immediately following. ‘We will always carry your memory in our hearts.’
