Windsor’s Brett Stibi brought down a ball carrier in a 7-0 win over Northgate on Sept. 2.

2-0 Windsor fresh off bye week
The varsity football Jaguars will be rested and ready when they visit the Hayward Farmers this Friday, Sept. 16 in the pre-league finale. Kickoff times for the JV and varsity are 4 and 7 p.m.
The Jaguars (2-0) are coming off a bye week following a 7-0 win at Northgate on Sept. 2, and no doubt took full advantage of the time off.
“The bye week is stress free,” WHS head coach Tom Kirkpatrick said. “We usually use the time to rest up and look at a few new wrinkles in the offense.”
The Farmers (2-1) rebounded from a 29-0 loss to Montgomery on Sept. 2 with a 16-12 win over Pinole Valley on Friday.
Home field still in
question
At press time no resolution had been reached in the on-going situation with Windsor’s all-weather turf field, which was determined to be unplayable last month following a failed compaction test.
As of this writing, no official announcement had been made as to where the Jaguars will play future home games, but the team is holding out hope that the field will be deemed playable following another test scheduled for this week.
Windsor is scheduled to host Maria Carrillo in the NBL home opener on Sept. 23.
