Faye Marie Ruppert left this world on March 2, 2018 at the age of 92, to be reunited in heaven with her husband and the love of her life Donald “Don” Ruppert. We know that they are both happy and at peace now. Faye is survived by her children James (Kitty) Ruppert and Carol (Michael) Pigoni; grandchildren Dawn (Anthony) Michalek, Michael Miller, Laura (Terry) White; great grandchildren Delaney and Amanda White and Ryder Michalek.
Faye had unending love for her family. Faye was born in Hamilton, Ohio where she met and married her high school sweetheart Don. After World War II, they moved cross-country with a “mattress on the roof and their Irish Setter in the back seat” (as Mom would tell it) to Cloverdale where Don joined the First National Bank of Cloverdale. They lived in Cloverdale for 70 years. Faye was a Mom in every sense of the word to her children and grandchildren and to every one of their friends. The Ruppert house became a home to anyone who came through the door. For all who knew Faye, they will remember her infectious laugh and her loving ways. She will be missed so much by so many.
A traditional Catholic funeral service for Faye was held last week in Cloverdale followed by her burial in Healdsburg. Donations in Faye’s memory may be made to Healdsburg Senior Living Resident Music and Activities Program (725 Grove St., Healdsburg). Faye loved and participated in the music and activities program and would like to be remembered in this way. The family acknowledges and gives special thanks to the staff at Healdsburg Senior Living for all the loving care they gave Mom.
