We have a diverse market board this year, made up of a
fisherman, a sheep rancher, an olive grower and oil producer, a
relatively new farmer, and a farmer who has been a part of the
market for many years. Dave Legro, Kerry Williams, Russ Messing,
Emmett Hopkins, and Sharon Vyborny have met for our first board
meeting, and among other things, we decided on some dates for the
market season. Please add the dates to your 2011 calendar.
The Gravenstein Apple Day was a huge success last year. This
year, instead of placing it back to back with the Zucchini
Festival, we decided to place the celebration in September when
more apples are ripe in this area.
