Recently hired football coach Marcus Ezeff has resigned from his position with Healdsburg High School after his recent run in with the law. Ezeff was arrested on March 29 for domestic violence after an incident in the parking lot of the high school where he allegedly backed in to his girlfriend and knocked her down following an argument. Charges were later dropped after the girlfriend recanted her statement. However, according to Superintendent Chris Vanden Heuvel, Ezeff resigned shortly afterwards.
“We have appointed long-time assistant coach Dave Stine as the head coach for next year,” Vanden Heuvel said.
In addition to his work as an assistant coach, Stine is also the athletic director at the junior high school and is an accounting technician at the high school.
