An event touted as the “The World’s Largest Picnic will
celebrate the opening of Oakville Grocery’s San Francisco location
in The Cannery at Del Monte Square at noon on Thursday, Sept. 29.
The picnic is open to the public and will feature free picnic
basket lunches for all attending while supplies last. Picnic guests
“can be some of the first to experience the wine country without
leaving San Francisco” according to Oakville Grocery officials. We
are told you should keep an eye open for the thousands of picnic
baskets being given away on Sept. 29 throughout the Bay Area.

“The great composer does not set to work because he is inspired,
but becomes inspired because he is working. Beethoven, Wagner,
Bach, and Mozart settled down day after day to the job in hand with
as much regularity as an accountant settles down each day to his
figures. They didn’t waste time waiting for inspiration.” – Ernest
Newman
