Elizabeth Bettencourt – Kind-hearted &#8220Granny”

Elizabeth Bettencourt, 86, passed away peacefully on June 27,
2007 in Sebastopol. She was the beloved mother of Elizabeth Hanner
(Steve), Patrick Christie, Catherine Bauer, Victor Bettencourt, and
Martin Bettencourt. She was a cherished grandmother of 12,
especially Cody Everett with whom she enjoyed a very close, special
relationship. Bettencourt was the loving sister of Lawrence
Crnkovich. She is survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces
and nephews. Elizabeth was born one of eight children and always
enjoyed children and family. She valued education and earned a
degree in nursing. She was &#8220Granny” to many and always had
a meal, a place to stay, a ride or anything else for someone in
need. She was active in Resurrection Parish and will be missed by
her friends and colleagues there.
A Vigil Service was held on Monday, July 2, 2007 at Resurrection
Parish Church in Santa Rosa. Bettencourt’s family was assisted by
Parent-Sorenson Mortuary, Sebastopol.
