West County high school cross-country runners turned in an outstanding performance on Nov. 5 at the Sonoma County League Championships.
As always, the meet was held on the classic 3.05-mile course at Spring Lake in Santa Rosa.
El Molino senior Brian Schulz celebrated an historic accomplishment, capturing his third straight individual league title in a clocking of 15:26, a full 15 seconds better than his time last year.  Schulz will now set his sights on a coveted North Coast Section Division-4 title and a possible record fourth trip to the CIF State Championships.
Leading the way for the ladies was Analy’s Grace Moussa, who crossed the finish line in 11th place in a time of 20:35.
Next up for the Running Lions and Tigers are the North Coast Section Championships to be held on Saturday, Nov. 19 at Hayward High School, the last qualifier for the CIF State Cross-Country Championships.
