Edward J. (Ted) Guildford passed away peacefully on December 31,
2002 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He is survived
by his beloved wife of 48 years, Pat Guildford of Santa Rosa,
daughter Beverly A. Perez and her husband Tony Perez of Windsor,
son John E. Guildford and his partner Michele (and sons Adam and
Wayne) of Santa Ana, grandchildren Valerie and Zachary Perez,
cousin Winston Frost and nephew, Ted Rich of England, sister-in-law
Ellen Berry of Healdsburg; in-laws Margaret Beck, Tom Loft, Eileen
and Jack Byford, and Angie Cox and Lil Cox of England, and numerous
nephews and nieces both here and in England. Born on January 6,
1927 in London, England, Ted emigrated to the U.S.A. in 1957 and
became a citizen in 1995. He worked initially as a carpenter, then
worked for Clover-Stornetta Farms for 24 years. Ted was an active
member of the Teamsters Union and Teamster Retirees. Active in
coaching soccer in the Santa Rosa League, Ted always enjoyed a good
soccer game. Visitation was held on January 3, 2003 in Santa Rosa
followed by private graveside services at Oak Mound Cemetery in
Healdsburg. A memorial service honoring Ted’s life was also held at
the Mark West Neighborhood Church. In lieu of flowers, donations
