We haven’t changed our opinion about efforts to remove fluoride from Healdsburg municipal water.
Two years ago, addressing the question of whether to continue fluoridating city water, we wrote: “An overwhelming majority of local and national dental experts support municipal fluoridation as a sound dental health program.”
Those who seek to remove fluoride from city water have a different tactic this year, seeking to establish a legal and scientific requirement that would be impossible to meet and would remove fluoride from city water.
The latest salvo from Measure T proponents is an offensive, jingoistic message that anything made in China must be poison. We urge Healdsburg voters to stay the course and follow their dentists’ advice by voting no on Measure T.
