Cloverdale varsity basketball teams continued to shine on the league hard-court, with both boys and girls squads logging a pair of wins in recent outings.
The Lady Eagles (15-4, 8-0) stayed perfect atop the NCL 1 standings, notching lopsided home victories over St. Helena (51-16) and Middletown (59-38). At the start of play this week Cloverdale was a game up on second place Clear Lake (7-1), and three ahead of third place Kelseyville (5-3).
This week the ladies resume league action on Jan. 30 (after press time) at Kelseyville before coming home to host Fort Bragg this Friday, Feb. 2 (7:30 p.m.).
The varsity boys (14-5, 6-2) are in second place, two games back of league-leading Kelseyville. Cloverdale is coming off close road wins over St. Helena (50-47) and Middletown (56-51) and will play home and away dates this week against Kelseyville (Jan. 30) and Fort Bragg (Feb. 2, 7:30 p.m.)
