Sonoma County’s regional libraries will celebrate learning to
read and Dr. Seuss’s 100th birthday (if he were alive) with games,
crafts, reading and stories on Tuesday, March 2 at 4 p.m. The
events are free and open to children of school age and older. For

Sprawl and the Sierra Club
The Redwood Chapter of the Sierra Club will sponsor a discussion
on “Livable Communities” on Wednesday, March 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. at
the Environmental Center, 404 Mendocino Ave., Santa Rosa. Admission
is free. The discussion will feature Marjorie Macris, co-chair of
the Sierra Club California Growth Management Committee. She will
discuss efforts to deal with the impacts of the state’s sprawling
growth. The Sierra Club is sponsoring legislation to require all
cities in the state to adopt urban growth boundaries.

Last call for Arlo Guthrie
benefit

This is your last reminder: The March 7 concert featuring Arlo
Guthrie at Analy High School is a benefit for the Scott Lane
Project counseling program for Analy, El Molino and Laguna high
