Annapolis native Docia May Prickett, 91, died on Nov. 15 in
Santa Rosa. She and her husband, Harold, established Prickett’s
Nursery in Santa Rosa in 1940. She was a charter member of the
Redwood Chapter of California Nurserymen’s Association and the
Annapolis Historical Society. She also belonged to the Redwood Good
Sams, California PTA, People for Economic Opportunity Sisterhood,
Saturday Afternoon Club and Alpine Homeowners. She is predeceased
by her husband of 62 years, Harold B. Prickett. She is survived by
her children, Patricia P. Waldow and her husband, Del, Michael H.
Prickett and his wife, Allene and Jerry B. Prickett and his wife,
Jill, her grandchildren Warren Anderson, Christopher Anderson,
Michael Ann Prickett, Patrick Prickett, Renee Donat, Elizabeth
Stout, Denise Baxter and Kimberly Trenchick and 12 great
grandchildren. Services for family and friends will be held at 3
p.m. on Nov. 23 at Eggen & Lance Mortuary in Santa Rosa.
