Dennis Patrick Hayes – Known as a gentle man

Dennis Patrick Hayes passed away July 18, 2003 in Santa Rosa at
the age of 55. He was a graduate of Healdsburg High School, class
of 1965. He is survived by brothers Terrence (Cynthia) and Timothy
(Catherine), by Merle Hayes, nieces Andrea Hayes and Kathy Leddy
(Jim), by nephew Brendan (Heidi) and their families. Dennis was a
man of compelling interests. His science fiction library and
collection of Blues music were extensive. He maintained model
trains, loved off-roading, the Sonoma Coast, rock collecting, and
his many friends. He was known as a gentle man, who was always
ready to help out, and one who never had an unkind word for anyone.
Friends are invited to join the family for a memorial service at 10
a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2003 at St. Eugene’s Cathedral, 2323
Farmers Lane, Santa Rosa. If desired donations may be made in his
name to the Diabetes Society of Sonoma County or your favorite
charity.
