Denise A. Wright

Denise A. Wright died July 4, 2008. She was born July 29, 1923
in Washington State and moved to California as a child and grew up
in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles.  Due to the untimely death
of her mother, Wright had to work her way through college,
graduating from U.C.L.A. in 1948 with a degree in political
science. She married Frederick Wright in July of 1949 and they
moved to the East Bay and San Francisco.  
During that time Wright kept busy working on various political
campaigns of the day.
A child of The Depression, Wright loved politics, gardening and
had a special affection for cats.
For the last eight years Wright battled Alzheimer’s Diseasse.
She is survived by her daughter Tracy Wright and son Gordon Wright
of Oakley, two step-children Margaret Elizabeth Weir of Visalia and
Frederick Wright of Sweetwater, TN., two grandchildren and numerous
step-grandchildren.  
Services were private.
