Delmar “Del” R. Bloomquist, 62, died on May 29 in Sebastopol.

Born in Sutter Creek, his family moved to Sonoma County when he
was 2. He graduated from Analy High School, class of 1960. Del
served his country in the U.S. Air Force as an Airman 1st from
1960-1964 in Korea on C-130 transports to Vietnam. He was a member
of the PCAM, Sebastopol Christian Church, Fairlane Club and Local
139. Del enjoyed muscle cars, World War II aircraft, model building
and anything on the History channel. He worked with his father to
help build the “church built in a day.” Del is survived by his
wife, Robin Dru Bloomquist, his children David Bloomquist and Terry
(Mike) DeSelle, his grandchildren Jason, Tiffanie, Chris, Kelley,
Cory and Austin. Donations may be made in Del’s name to Sebastopol
Christian Church or the PCAM.
