Sebastopol was decked out in red, white and blue on Memorial Day
as local Scout Troops and the VFW celebrated the day. On Saturday
(May 28) Scout Troop 27 and Pack 27 placed flags on the graves of
U.S. veterans a Pleasant Hill Cemetery, and Sebastopol VFW Post
3919 held a solemn ceremony on Monday at Sebastopol Memorial Lawn
with the help of the Sebastopol Community Band, which played
patriotic airs for a small gathering of citizens. The Scouts also
placed flags along the streets of Sebastopol in an annual
tradition.
