“Together Again”
Darlene N. Ricci went to join the love of her life on June 21, 2018 while at home surrounded by her family. Darlene was born on August 19, 1934 in Coquille, Oregon where she spent most of her younger years. In 1959, she moved to Alexander Valley in Sonoma County where she soon met her hero Eugene Ricci. For a short time she was a waitress for Ed Leona and shared ownership in her restaurant The Lazy Inn. Together they became a great team running the Ricci orchards and vineyards on Limerick and Foreman Lane. Darlene was a devoted mother to their two sons, teaching them good values like that hard work and integrity pays off.
Darlene’s most treasured time was traveling the highways in the motor home as Gene’s co-pilot and the many family/friend gatherings at the ranch. She was a nurturer, teaching her children and 6 grandchildren to be selfless and always look out for one another, to be caring towards others and self, that our family bond has and will continue to keep us carrying on our family values and traditions. She will live on in each one of us. She would say, “When they talk about loving your children and loving your grandchildren, where does it begin and where does it end? Because it’s all the same thing; you love ‘em all.”
Darlene was proceeded in death by her parents, Clyde and Louise St Clair; husband, Eugene Ricci; and daughter, Nancy Louise and son Chuck Ricci; sister, Deloris Carter and brother, George Ricci. She is survived by her sister Sherry (John) Livingston; her son, Jim (Debbie) Ricci; grandson Eugene (Susan) Ricci; granddaughters Holli, Falynn and Ashley Ricci and grandsons Anthony and Nathan Ricci; numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
