The Cloverdale ladies continued their winning ways with a decisive 18 to 43 win over Kelseyville at Kelseyville’s 2.9 mile course. Angela Romero took first place, in the 30-runner field, with her teammates in close support, as has been the case in all preceding races. Katie Edwards placed third,  Anabelle Doyle was fourth, Ariana Fernandez, sixth and Lilliana Ramos was 15th.
The Varsity Boys Team ran a closely fought race with a 27 to 29 victory over the host team from Kelseyville. The boys five scoring runners (in Cross Country, the first five finishers from a team make up that team’s score) were: Emmett Lawson, second finisher overall in the 27-runner field,           Nick Schnieder, ninth, Nick Rilea, 15th, Juan Gutierrez,19th and Everett Conway, 23rd. The J.V. Boys were led this week by Adrian Zavalas’ fifth place finish in a 14-runner field.
The Cloverdale team hosted Fort Bragg, Willits and St. Helena at Cloverdale’s 3.0 mile course at Asti Winery on Wednesday, Oct.15, after the Reveille’s deadline.
