The case against Michael John Peterson, aka “Davey Crockett,” has been suspended.
Peterson had been facing a misdemeanor charge for carrying an unloaded firearm of Feb. 19. Criminal proceedings were suspended by Judge Mark Urioste on May 28.
Peterson is best known around Healdsburg for wearing animal skin outfits, including a fur cap, similar to what is typically portrayed of Davey Crockett. This outfit also regularly included an antique firearm, which Peterson claims is inoperable.
Peterson had been represented by a public defender.
