The Sonoma County Regional Parks Department is once again
offering its “Parks Pass Promotion between April 1 and
June 30 when you can buy a pass that offers unlimited day uses
parking in all 42 county regional parks for a full year. The $55
pass ($20 for those over 60 years and $15 for the permanently
disabled) includes a variety of other offers, including free gear,
discounts on outdoor rentals, a free kayak rental at Spring Lake,
two free nights camping at regional parks and other goodies. The
day use passes are available at all Longs Drugs Stores, REI in
Santa Rosa, Sonoma Outfitters, Rincon Cyclery and the Bike
Peddler/NorCal Bike Sport in Santa Rosa and at any staffed Regional
Park entry station. They may also be purchased online at
www.sonoma-county.org/parks. Call 565-2041 for more

Gardening with California
natives
The Milo Baker Chapter of the California Native Plant Society
will present a talk on Gardening with California Native Plants by
Sebastopol resident Phil Van Soelen on Tuesday, March 21 at 7:30
p.m. at the Luther Burbank Art and Garden Center, 2050 Yulupa Ave.
in Santa Rosa. He will illustrate his remarks with photos of his
Sebastopol garden. Van Soelen is the co-owner of California Flora
Nursery in Fulton.
