The Healdsburg City Council, at two March 19 meetings, will hear a report of the progress of the infrastructure project at the south entrance to downtown, popularly known as the “roundabout project.”
The council will also hear and discuss a report on city pensions. In addition to background from city staff, John Bartels will provide an actuarial perspective on the city’s pension liabilities.
The city recently commissioned a survey of residents, asking about levels of satisfaction with city services and other issues and the council will hear a report on the survey results. The survey cost the city $30,000 and in addition to city services, queried residents on their opinions about hospitality and tourism.
The council will also discuss a revised version of its protocols and procedures, which cover, among other things, how public council meetings are conducted.
The regular Healdsburg City Council meeting will be held at Healdsburg City Hall, 401 Grove Street, on Monday, March 19 at 6 p.m.
An hour earlier, at 5 p.m. Sonoma State University economist Robert Eyler will give the council a report titled: “Healdsburg’s Economy, Context and Balance.” The report is expected to help inform future decisions about growth, especially in the tourism industry.
