The Giorgi Park Playground Construction Project needs volunteers
all three days, August 7, 8, and 9 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If you
can help any time during those three days with auguring holes,
helping pour concrete footings, assembling pre-fabricated decks,
stairs, railings, or various other jobs, please do come out and
help the City Parks Department put back together our wonderful
little park. It is going to be better than ever, and we all need to
pitch in and help. Sign up to help by calling Matthew Thompson at
431-3384.
Plaza Arts Center, our local non-profit community art center, is
currently showcasing our resident artists in Artlook 2009 through
August 25. Thirteen artists are showing their latest work. During
this showcase you can also get a 10 percent discount of any art
words purchases. It’s time to add something to your collection so
head on over to the center and check out the talented artists in
our community.
