PLAY BALL — Cloverdale Little Leaguers participated in the Opening Day ceremony on Sunday, April 7 at Daly Field.

Dozens of budding baseball players and scores of fans lined Daly Field on Sunday, April 7, as the Cloverdale Little League kicked off the 2019 season with Opening Day festivities. 
The event included the traditional procession of teams, along with introductions by league officers and the playing of the National Anthem.
Longtime CLL board member Julie Axell was honored for her many years of service with the league, throwing out the first pitch.  
This year’s Little League features an estimated 175 players filling out more than two dozen teams in divisions from T-Ball to Juniors. Regular season games run through the end of May, followed by the Tournament of Champions and ending with the District-35 All Star tournaments in July.
