The District 35 Little League all star tournament signaled the end of an exciting season for the Cloverdale Little League 8-10-year-old stars, playing a pair of games before being eliminated.
Cloverdale opened the double-elimination tournament on June 29 at the Healdsburg Field of Dreams with an 11-2 setback to El Molino and was bounced from the tourney on July 1 in an 8-1 loss to Ukiah.
The team was led by manager Dustin Haug and coaches Justin Cavallo and Carl Howell. The roster included Coby Haug, Cash Langston, Pablo Cesar, Dane Miller, Jaxson Randolph, Vahnn Randolph, Kingston Cavallo, Caleb Howell, Evan Robledo, Oren Fitchelberg, Kyle Bernardi, Casyn Kamondy and Mason Caturegli.
This year’s Cloverdale Little League featured 180 kids and 17 teams in five divisions, including T-ball, Coach Pitch, Minors, Majors and Juniors.
Regular season games ran from April to the end of May, followed by the Tournament of Champions and District-35 All-Star tournament.
