The city of Healdsburg has announced the city’s first bike share program. The bicycles will be rolled out to their respective stations, ready for the program to begin this Saturday, Jan. 27.
The bicycles have adjustable seats, automatic front and rear lights, a basket, u-lock key (for locking the bike), eight gears and a bell.
According to Tina Kirchner of the city, “maintenance on the bikes will be performed, at a minimum every two weeks to maintain the integrity and safety of the bikes.”
The bike stations will be located at:

  • The Healdsburg Police Department (238 Center Street);
  • 434 Healdsburg Avenue  (next to Mitchell Shopping Center);
  • Healdsburg City Hall on the Foss Creek Pathway;
  • The train depot (320 Hudson);
  • 230 Healdsburg Avenue;
  • The west Plaza (across from 107 North Street);
  • The Best Western Dry Creek Inn.

Use of the bicycles will be through the Zagster smartphone app or by registering online with Zagster, the supplier of the program.
There is a one-time $5 fee to join and rides under an hour are free. After an hour, rides will be $7 an hour, according to the Zagster website.
